We applaud your initiative in promoting a natural gas pipeline. Gas consumers are facing higher prices now and they need you to follow three guiding principles in selecting a developer:

• Who is ready, willing and able to begin a gas line NOW?
• Who has economic interests most closely aligned with Alaska consumers?
• Who will commit to delivering gas to consumers by 2011–not 2017?

Governor: South Central Alaska faces very real shortages in the near future.

ENSTAR serves over 90% of Alaska natural gas consumers. Our only interest is in delivering the lowest price gas for Alaska consumers. We currently offer prices half the national average, but that gap is closing, and Alaska businesses and individuals are experiencing rising costs. Residential costs are expected to rise 17% next month.

Governor: please support a gas line that works best for Alaska consumers.
